Lake Mary, Florida, September 23rd, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE)—Fonon Corporation (‘Fonon’) (OTC: FNON) is pleased to announce the US Air Force Rapid Innovation Fund (RIF) committee selected the Company’s white paper to develop a portable hand-held laser coating removal system. The Air Force RIF Contracting Officer commented, “Selection of white papers to be invited for proposal was extremely competitive based on overwhelming responses to the solicitation. Your white paper, AFLCMC15-4.e-W-0132/Portable Hand-held Fiber Laser Coating Removal System, has been selected for proposal invitation based on technical evaluation.”
Market demand is high in both the military and commercial sector for portable LCR systems including graffiti removal that continues to plague major urban and rural areas. Primary applications for LCR systems to remove coating or paint include substrate inspection, corrosion remediation and repair.
